What's for Dinner

Quick, easy and delicious dinner tonight. Here's what was on the menu.

Salmon- this was a recipe we used in Alaska for special occasions.
1/2 C butter
1T dry mustard
1T Worcestershire
2T Ketchup
3T Soy Sauce
1 clove garlic - crushed

Simmer 5 minutes. Pour over fish. Marinade 1 hr to overnight. I baked in tin foil in the oven. 350 for 15-20 mins.

Potatoes
Easy easy easy.
Saute sliced onions. add salt, pepper and thyme for last 5 minutes
Layer onions and sliced potatoes in crockpot.
When cooked put in serving dish and sprinkle with shredded swiss cheese.

Fruit Salad - Rick made this surprising salad. I say surprising because Rick is very anti anything so "Relief Society". But everyone had seconds (at least).
1 can pineapple
1 can mandarin oranges
banana
any other fruit you want
mini marshmellows
sour cream

Steamed Asparagus

Everyone loved it. Especially me, since it wasn't time consuming to prepare. Even picky-eater-doesn't-like-fish Isaac called the fish "OK", and anti-potato Zane didn't need any coaxing to have a serving. Oh and the kids were on Sunday dinner clean up. Major win on every level.

We call this Betsy Salmon in our house. One of Don's favorites!
